Preschool Passover

Last night, the 2 year old mission friends, along with Mrs. Meredith had a lesson centered around the Passover. They enjoyed Passover treats and had their feet washed. How cute are the pictures?!

Serving each other with a "hug of love."

"So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example that you also should do just as I have done for you. I assure you: A slave is not greater than his master, and a messenger is not greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them." John 13:14-17

WOW!!!!

wow! Wow! WOW!! That's all I can say about our fundraiser at McAlister's last night!! We had an OVERWHELMING response from people from our church and people in the community. The kids didn't even care how much money we made... they were just excited because they actually were able to be waitresses and bus boys. Thanks so much for all of your support for our kids that will be participating in camp. They are so excited about getting to spend a week of their summer learning more about God and meeting new friends. We'll be having another fundraiser on May 7, same time, same place! So please mark your calendars!!

FUNDRAISING...

Guess what THIS THURSDAY NIGHT is??

That's right... come and support your FBC Children's Ministry!

Church Bible Drills

One drill down, two to go! The 4th-6th graders that participate in Bible Drills participated in their first church drill this past Sunday. They were phenomenal! They have all worked hard this year and I am so proud of them. Thank you so much Bro. David McCubbin, Ben & Shea Leake for working so much with these kiddos this year. I appreciate your willingness to serve in this area of the children's ministry. Parents, don't forget that the Associational Drills will be THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 5th at PSDBC.

2008-2009 Bible Drill Participants: Ann Morgan Lamar, Hannah Ivey, Rachel Ivey, Lindley Williams, James Gibson, Sam Vaughn and Cameron Calhoun

After the Bible Drillers partcipated in their drill, it was time for the 1st-3rd graders to show off a little bit of what they learned this year. They recited the books of the bible... Old AND New testaments. They were so cute. Regan and Walt Hill have been their leaders for most of the year and have done a terrific job with them!

Making Bird Feeders

The 1st grade Sunday School class (led by Mrs. Debbie Fant and Ms. Beth Rhett) made bird feeders on Sunday. If you want to know why they were making them, play the video (but pause the music at the bottom of the page first!).
They look like they are having so much fun!

... As told by Anna Caroline & Sam

I tried to get all of the kiddos in the video, but most of them told me they were too shy to do it. If you know our first graders, then you know that they aren't the LEAST BIT shy!!

Come On, Ring Those Bells!!

Take a look at our Young Ringers that led in Worship this past Sunday!!
** Slight confession**
These pictures were staged!!! They look like they're really concentrating in the first picture... but they are all being "hams" in the second one! Ya'll did a great job on Sunday!!

Sharing about Jesus is Fun!!

Last Wednesday night, the 4th-6th grade G.A.'s learned about a fun way to share about Jesus with others. Sharing the word of Christ doesn't have to be boring or very structured in any way... it can be as fun as painting faces and making balloon animals! It looks like they had so much fun! A few of the 1st-3rd graders! I just thought this was a really cute picture!
